Throttle Thunder Relay
Throttle Thunder Motorcycle Relay will begin in Fairbanks Alaska with a Kick-Off party from 4:00-7:00pm Friday June 5th at the Harley-Davidson Farthest North Outpost. Registered Riders can pick up their Rider Packets at this time! Non-Registered Riders can Register and receive a Rider Packet. There will be door prizes, a Barbecue, live entertainment, First Poker Run Card and a 50/50 drawing! Also, Billy Oefelein Alaska’s Astronaut will be there and give a brief talk! Come and have lots of fun and visit with an Astronaut!
After a big breakfast send-off at 7:00-8:00am, including a Bike Blessing, on Saturday June 6, 2009 the ride will head to McKinley Harley-Davidson for lunch, then off to Denali Harley-Davidson shop in Wasilla for a barbecue dinner.
The relay will continue the next day, Sunday June 7th from the Anchorage House of Harley-Davidson with a Hot Breakfast from Gwennies at 10:30am.
The riders will then depart for the Kenai Peninsula Harley-Davidson, where the ride will finish with food, fun, prizes and entertainment.
If you are in an outlying community, you can join the ride at any location, or riders in remote towns can organize and ride in their community. Riders can ride 10 miles, 100 miles, or 500 miles. You decide how far you want to ride!
Can’t ride with us? Become a Virtual Rider! Register and support the cause! You will receive an event t-shirt, patch and pin and a chance to win the Grand Prize Drawing! (need not be present to win!)
The funds raised will benefit victims of drunk driving crashes, create a Victim Memorial Book, provide scholarships and build memorials, aid law enforcement agencies and support various programs in the Alaska Schools.
